It isn't that I'm a rabbid gamer, obsessiveliy craving to devour every good gaming experience I hear about. It's just that some treats are just too good to miss out on. I call them quadrouple A titles. The ones that just do everything right, and is also remembered. You see, there is something about some games that just make the whole more worth than the sum of its parts, and leave you dazzled for quite some time after. It is one of these player experiences I feel I have misse out on, and I'll tell you which game it is too.
Mass Effect. Every aspect, from design work, to polish, voice acting, animation, cinematix, sund design, scope, lenght, innovation, writing, dialouge, ambiguity and just about any other superlative that has some merit of sophistication is to be found in the more serious reviews of this game. And if this wasn't enough to get me interested, it is also one of the few outstanding new IP set in a sci-fi world, the only other I really can think of in the moment is Dead Space.
I guess I should be grateful that this is the only title of such a quality that I fell I'm missing out on, given that I only own the ps3 console, but I can't help wanting this to be ported.
And yea, I left HALO out for a reason.
