Review: Inception (Without spoilers!)

Inception is clever. It is so clever, you almoast have to be clever to even follow the plot of the movie. Christopher Nolan is not known for dumbing down movies. In Memento he gave us the chance to experience short term memory loss, by playing the plot of the movie backwards. And altough he takes different routes this time, you'll be having a blast unraveling the movie as you go along.

Nolan sets up a cast cleverly put together of only strong characters. If you got sick of the whimping main character in New Moon, you can see this movie to be cured. This creates an interesting dynamic between them, and let's their personalities shine through. Still, we hardly touch in on most of the characters feelings in the dialogue. Instead Nolan let their feelings shine through in their environment, which in turn affects them. An exception would be for the main character. There are two storylines to this movie, cleverly entertwined and separated at the same time. One for the main character, and one for the world at large. This keeps the movie interesting, as Nolan can play on different strenghts and weaknesses of each scene the wole way through.

The many elements come together to create a unique movie experience which you just should not miss. It is in the same league as Batman: The Dark Knight, with a similar colour palette. (not a bad thing in my book).
